After a fairly grueling day of travel yesterday, I arrived in Schriesheim. Here I’ll be visiting Steph and Nancy, my dad’s second cousins for a few days. I was quickly welcomed into their beautiful home, fed dinner, and had nice conversations.

Today, we biked in Heidelberg for the afternoon. We walked up the Philosophenweg (Philosopher’s Way) to get beautiful views of the city. Then we headed back down into the town and got lunch at a the University.

After biking back, Steph and I played the game Hive, which made it worth my having carried the (extremely lightweight) cardboard game around with me for the last month and a half.

We had a wonderful dinner and worked on a puzzle. It was a nice first day in Germany!
